You’re an Overcomer!

Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
27 Nov
My precious child of God, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today’s promise is taken from John 16:33 which says, “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Yes, my friend, Jesus says “I have overcome the world.”
If you read Colossians 2:15, the verse goes like this: “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Also, Romans 8:35, 36 & 37 suggests: ‘In this world, you will have tribulation, distress, persecution and sword; yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.’ Even now you may be reading this in tears longing for some peace or joy or deliverance from your struggle. Take heart, my friend! The Lord is speaking to you through these verses. God says to you, “Be of good cheer! I have overcome all the problematic situations that you are facing right now.” God has indeed done a great miracle on the cross. Through His suffering, He has given us victory in this world. Take the life of Job for an example. He was a man of God and He trusted the Lord with all his heart and had a close walk with Him. Even then, Job had to go through trials and tribulations. He lost everything in life including his ten beautiful children and his health. Even during these trying times, Job says, as mentioned in Job 23:10, “When He (God) has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” What a great belief He had towards God! Also, in Job 13:15 he says “even though He (God) slays me, I will trust Him.”
My friend, I would encourage you to put your complete trust in the Lord, just like Job. When you read Job chapter 42, you will see how the Lord completely delivered Job from all his struggles and losses and gave him a brand-new chapter filled with all His heavenly blessings. Everything became beautiful. The same God is with you, too. He is going to make everything beautiful in your life. Just believe Him and cling on to Him.
Precious Heavenly Father, thank You for Your wonderful promise. Thank You for sending your Son, Jesus into this world, to conquer it. Through His suffering on the cross, He has granted me victory over every situation that I am facing right now. Lord, You have called me to be more than a conqueror. You hold my life and my future. You will help me to overcome every problem. You will miraculously restore everything in my life and will make it beautiful with Your heavenly blessings, in time. Thank you, Lord, for Your unfailing mercy and grace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
