The House of The Righteous

In simple words, a righteous person can be defined as one who is always humble, walks in fear of the Lord, and one who delights in the commandments of the Lord. We read in the Bible that wealth and riches will be in his house and his righteousness endures forever (Psalm 112:1,3).

A couple had the fear of the Lord in them and carefully walked in His ways. Though the husband was holding a good position as an officer, he spent a lot of money on things concerning the ministry of the Lord, and this resulted in financial difficulties at home. His devout wife was quite content, and although she was cash-strapped for the month, she economically managed the family. One day during the time of prayer, the Lord spoke to them, “My children, you have not sought the riches of this world, but you have dedicated yourselves for the extension of My Kingdom and are content with your life. Therefore, I will meet all your needs without you asking for them. I will see that your house overflows with my supplies” and as He promised, He gave many promotions to the husband and filled their lives abundantly with all His goodness and blessings. The people who made fun of their needy and simple life were now surprised to see the abundant blessings they had received from the Lord.

Yes! My dearly beloved! You too can receive the divine blessings given by the Lord. However, you have to walk in the fear of the Lord and rejoice in His righteous ways. Being humble in attitude and living in the fear of the Lord are interdependent. When you are faithful to obey His commandments, even in your hard times, God will surely bless you with riches, honor, and glory, according to His promise.
Loving Lord! Grant me the grace to walk in righteous ways and be humble in my attitude. Irrespective of my circumstances, help me to follow Your commandments. Fill me, Lord, with your divine blessings.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
