Shouts of Joy

Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
16 Oct
Dear friend, today the Lord is giving you a wonderful promise. It is from Psalm 35:27. Here King David says, “Let them shout for joy and be glad that favor my righteous cause; yea, let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified who hath pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” In another version it says, “The Lord rejoices in the wellbeing of His servant.”

David went through the wilderness without anything in his hand when his son chased him away from his throne. Because David’s son Absalom took away David’s kingdom from his hand, David had to walk through wilderness without even wearing his sandals, but the Lord did not leave him like that. Yes, the Lord did not leave him nor forsake him. For all the days of David’s sorrow, the Lord made him very glad. The Lord made him king and he ruled over all the tribes of the Israelites. Therefore, all the tribes of the Israelites came to him and said ‘we are your bone and your flesh.’ Yes friend, the Lord will make you a ruler for all the days of your sorrow.
The Lord takes pleasure in your wellbeing. Psalm 90:15 says “Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.” May be, you are also praying the same prayer. The Lord will compensate every loss in your life, and He will make you glad. When David sat on the throne, he was so glad and praised the Lord saying as in Psalm 34:1-2 “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear it and be glad.” Shout for joy my friend. Your days of sorrow have come to an end.
Prayer:
My loving Heavenly Father,

Thank you for today’s promise. You have seen my tears and afflictions. Thank you Lord for you will compensate it with joy and happiness. Let me always praise You in my life.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
