Praying In A Way That Is Acceptable To God Almighty

Dearly Beloved,
Whenever we approach the throne of God in prayer, we all have a long list to present to Him. Sometimes, when you don’t pray, you won’t receive what you want. That’s why Jesus said, “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete”. (John 16:24)

You have to ask for all that you want and God will fulfill it. But, you have to bear  a little caution. If, you ask something, which displeases God, then you will not receive it. On the contrary, if your will for anything is pleasing to God, then He will surely answer your prayers. When you read about Jabez, you will notice that when he prayed, God answered his prayers, blessed him with all that he wished. The simple reason, whatever Jabez wanted, it was pleasing to God Almighty. Even though his mother was unhappy at his birth, as she thought he was a bad omen. Still yet, God blessed Jabez according “that which he requested of Him”( 1 Chronicles 4:9,10). God answered all the four things that, Jabez wanted, as it was acceptable to God. Also, it is stated very clearly in Psalm 65:2 that, God hears our prayers and answers them.
Several years back, when we were residing in a small colony, my friend who worked with me in the bank was my neighbor in that colony. He had a little daughter who would often play with Angel. During Christmas, my daughter desired for some balloons and I bought her some. She was happy and played with it. A while later, my friend’s daughter came to our house and asked me, “Uncle where are my balloons?” I told my daughter to give her some. But this little girl refused to take as she said, “those are not my balloons but Angel’s”. I was left with no option I immediately rushed to the market and got some balloons, exclusively for her. At last, she was extremely happy for it.

Likewise, when you ask God for anything that falls in line with God’s wish and will, He will surely answer your prayers. When you ask like Jabez asked, all that is pleasing and acceptable to God, you will be granted what you ask for. God will surely bless you because He delights in answering your prayers. So if a particular prayer of yours goes unanswered then just introspect, whether what you were asking for, was it pleasing or displeasing to God. This way, you will learn to plead like Jabez, to whom God blessed with all that he asked because it was acceptable in God’s heart.
Heavenly Father,
I have many desires to be fulfilled in my life, whatever I ask, may it be pleasing to you. Give me your Holy Spirit, to teach me to pray in a way that is acceptable and is according to your plan for my life.
In Jesus’ most precious name I pray,
