New life in christ!

“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”     (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Dearly beloved children of God, the blessings of the Lord cannot be obtained in places of darkness and in the land of forgetfulness. However, most people in this world today, lead a life found in darkness and their good deeds in the land of oblivion. Therefore, they do not know the wonder-working power of the Lord. The Lord Jesus came into this world, to transform such kind of people. He transformed the life of cruel Saul into a life of testimony and made him reveal His justice.

Saul, who was later known to be Paul after his encounter with the Lord Jesus, was one who hated anyone who preached about Jesus. We read about him in the book of Acts, chapter 9, where he is on a mission to kill everyone who proclaimed about Jesus Christ. He writes to the synagogue, seeking permission to annihilate the followers of Christ. While he was on his journey to Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. Saul was petrified and pleaded to God asking him what he must do. He lamented to God asking Him what His plans were, for him. God gave Paul "life" and he received life in abundance. Yes my beloved, when God gives us life, we will live forever. He has promised us with eternal life! He changed Saul to Paul, enabling him to do marvelous miracles that delivered gentiles and their kings.

There was a man who lived in deep darkness and in the land of forgetfulness but he did not realize the severity and consequences of such living. He would not even hesitate to kill anyone or destroy any family. Heading such a treacherous life, a terrible disease afflicted him. No doctors were prepared to go near him to treat him. At last, his wife heard about a devout servant of the Lord and brought him home. The servant of God fasted and prayed before going to his house, so that the Lord would graciously touch the heart of this cruel man. The Spirit of the Lord increased the courage and confidence in him. He looked at that sick man and said, “Sir, would you offer this prayer, inviting the Lord to come in our midst?" Thereafter, He will touch you and heal you.” By the grace of God, he obeyed him and as the man confessed his sins the presence of the Lord came down and healed the infirmities in his body. The wonders of the Lord was revealed in darkness and the justice of the Lord was revealed in the land of forgetfulness (Psalm 88:12)

Is your life in darkness? Are you trying to be good in the land of forgetfulness? You need to step out of this land! You need to call forth unto our redeemer who took Saul and moulded him into Paul, the greatest Apostle. “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Lord brought light into the darkened life of Saul and changed his life, inside out! This Lord is with us this day; to deliver us from darkness and take us out of the land of oblivion that we may inherit eternal life and enter His Kingdom.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father! How wonderfully You set free, the souls from darkness and from the land of forgetfulness. Fill me too with the blessing to receive, to experience and to reflect Your divine light in my life. In the wonderful name of the Lord Jesus I pray, O Father,

Amen.
