God The Father Waits With Open Arms For His Children To Return To Him

Dear Friends,
It is but natural, that when you have everything in your life, when you see all things working in your favor, you tend to miss the mark. Gradually you become slaves to those materialistic possessions, which give you superficial happiness. But Heavenly Father wants you to live in freedom and be united to Him, “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” ( Romans 8:15).

Even though you may deviate from God’s ways and forget Him, yet He is faithful, “if we are faithless, He remains faithful” (2 Timothy 2:13) and waits for you with His open arms. He’s your Heavenly Father and He loves to listen to you and be called, “Abba Father”. In Hebrew, the word, “ Abba” means Father ; the term most affectionately called Father. And it is this very word that connects you to God’s heart. He eagerly waits to hear your prayers. It doesn’t matter to Him, whether you are calling out loudly or just whispering, He will answer you the minute He hears your cry.
God helped me understand the father-children relationship through the parable of prodigal son, which I would share with you too.  In Luke 15:11-32, we read about the prodigal son. There was a man who had two sons. One day, the younger son, asked his father to divide the inheritance between him and his older son. The younger son took all his possession and travelled to a distant land. He squandered his wealth in wild living. He was left with nothing. To make matters worse, there was a severe famine in the land and he had to eat swine’s food. This was the time that he repented whole-heartedly and planned to return to his father. His father had been waiting for him, he welcomed his son with open arms. The son was lost but is now found.

Such is the love of a father. Likewise, even our Heavenly Father welcomes us with open arms. Irrespective of the fact, that we deviate from His ways, but He will never leave us. He’s waiting for you to return to Him and bless you abundantly. When you call Him, Abba Father, you will feel His presence. He has all His attention to you as is mentioned in Isaiah 58:9, “Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, 'Here I am’...”. Don’t hesitate to get back to God, even if you feel it’s too late. God is waiting for each one of you with love and compassion.
Abba Father,
I come before you with all my shortcomings. I repent for having gone astray from your path. I want your presence always and want your blessings in my life. May I be faithful in my ways towards you and grow stronger in you.
In Jesus mighty name I pray,
