Ask and receive!!

Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

My beloved,

God can talk to us even through dreams. “At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” Solomon answered, “You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day. “Now, LORD my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?” The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for both wealth and honor so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings.” (1 Kings 3: 5-13)
Just as the Lord gave Solomon what he asked for, He is able to give you too. May be you have a need in your job, studies, finances or in business. May be you have various needs in your life. The Lord says, "Ask me what you want." According to this word, we will ask the Lord today. He is able to do bless us exceedingly more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). King Solomon says, “Then I was constantly at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence” (Proverbs 8:30). Solomon says that he was constantly at the side of the Lord. In the same way the Lord loves each one of us. Whether you are young or old, we are all His children. And David, the father of Solomon, was rejoicing in the Lord. The Bible says, “I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”(Psalms 16:8). God expects the same love from you. Since David loved the Lord, so zealously God loved his son Solomon and blessed him in double measure more than what he had asked.

Beloved, the Lord expects the same kind of love and zeal from us. The Lord promised, “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” (Psalms 91:14,15). The Lord says to you, “Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” (John 16:24). Have faith and ask your needs to the Lord wholeheartedly. God Bless you.
Prayer:
Gracious Heavenly Father,
I love You, Lord. Thank You for your wonderful promise that You have given me today. Lord, help me to trust You and love You at all times. Let my eyes be fixed on You always like King David. I surrender myself into Your hands. I submit all my needs before You. Small or big. I am sure that You will bless me exceedingly more than what I ask or imagine. As You are the same yesterday, today and forever.
In Jesus' mighty name, I pray.
Amen.
