Jesus Walks Beside You!

Most of the times, you are led by fear; fear of falling, fear of rejection, fear of loss and much more. And that’s the reason you’re hesitant to take some bold steps in life. And you know very well, that, those steps would lead you through a path of difficulty, before you touch your destination. But, I want to strengthen you from His Word, which says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you” (Isaiah 43:2).

There’s a beautiful and an amazing incident in the Bible, where Jesus walks on water. He literally walked on water! We can read it in Matthew 14:22-32, After Jesus provided food miraculously, for the people who had come to listen to His teachings; He asked His disciples to reach to the other side of the lake, while He would join them there, later. As the disciples were sailing across the lake, they had the shock of their lives, by seeing someone walking on water. They were struck with fear, thinking a ghost was approaching them. But immediately, our Lord understood their fear and calmed them down, by assuring that it was Him. Hearing this, Peter, one of His disciples, got really excited and sought Jesus’ permission to walk on water. Jesus out of His great love, asked Him to do as he desired. But, the minute, Peter, shifted his focus from Jesus to the raging seas; he immediately began to drown. But, Jesus, held his hand and kept him from sinking.
Yes! My dear friends, you may be undergoing many problems, but I encourage you to look unto Jesus and focus only on Him and not on your circumstances. For it is Jesus alone, who will rescue you. He will walk with you, so that the raging waters will never subdue you. I remember, when I went ice-skating for the first time, I saw people skating in the large ice ring. But few who didn’t know, kept falling and hurting themselves. I too wanted to give it a try, somehow I managed and ending up skating in the ring. One of my friend, who joined later, fell several times but was skating well in the next 30 mins.

You can never learn, if you’re afraid of falling. In fact, falling is necessary so as to learn to walk through troubling situation. And when you look unto Jesus, He will keep you from falling. For God says, “call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you” (Psalm 50:15). The Lord will walk with you and the minute you call out to Him, He will deliver you out of all your troubling situations.
Heavenly Father, I pray for your presence in my life. Help me, guide me and lead me. For all the struggles that I’m going through, deliver me and grant me your blessings.

In Jesus name, I pray.
