You are not alone!

Loneliness does not mean we are alone. We might be surrounded by people but still feel lonely inside. Loneliness makes us fell unloved and abandoned. It can break our hearts. It affects the way we react to people and circumstances. We might feel chained by this situation that makes us feel like prisoners. People might have abandoned their love for you and broken your trust. Whatever makes you lonely, God says to you, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you' (Hebrews 13:5). God went through loneliness on the cross. He carried our sins on His body so God turned His face against Jesus. Jesus stayed on our side and cried out for our sake saying," Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (Which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"). He broke the chains of loneliness by standing in the gap between us and God. Now there is no more distance between us and God. There will never be a moment when we are alone for Jesus is always beside us.

King David went through loneliness. He was chased by King Saul to be killed out his jealousy on David. David was also chased out of his house by his own son Absalom. David went through much loneliness. Though he was chased he always found the Lord on his side. That's why he writes in Psalm 139:8-10," If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me and your strength will support me." Mother Teresa has written that, "The greatest disease is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. It is not only poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There's a hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God.”
Knowing God and having a relationship with Him alone can fill the vacuum in our hearts that can be filled only by God. Nobody else or nothing else we do can remove loneliness. The love of God can change our hearts and our circumstances. We have two choices before us. We can either run to God or act out of despair. If we choose to go to God, the Bible says, "God sets the lonely in families, He leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land" (Psalm 68:6). If we choose to be rebellious against God, we will only feel the heat of the sun which is to feel the burden of bearing all of life's troubles by ourselves. But when we choose to cling to God, He will set us with godly families, godly friends and a godly atmosphere to accomplish great things for God. Remember, you are lonely only if you choose to be!
Prayer:
Loving Father in Heaven,

Thank You Lord for You will never leave me nor forsake me. You will be with me everywhere I go. You will give me good friends, good colleagues and good company in my family and remove the loneliness in my life. Fill my heart with Your love Lord. I choose to run to You for company. Be my best friend. Comfort me with Your Presence and make me joyful.

I pray this in Jesus name,

Amen.
