Wonder working god!

“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?"    (Jeremiah 32:27)
The Lord loves His people and does many wondrous works in their lives. But, soon they forget it all and lead a life not pleasing in His sight. Such evil deeds become sin. Let us just examine our lives today. Do we glorify God by believing that He is the giver of blessings and the one who does wonders, or do we doubt His splendour and ridicule His power?

When the Israelites travelled through the desert, they mourned and rebelled against Moses. They started complaining, saying “If only we had died by the LORD’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death” (Exodus 16:3). The Lord heard their murmurings and gave them manna every day. When they wanted meat, the Lord promised them to give bread and meat and provided them (Numbers 11:21). Not only Israelites failed to believe the word of God but also did Moses. Moses began murmuring against the Lord, “Would they have enough if flocks and herds were slaughtered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them?” (Numbers11:22). On hearing this, the LORD answered Moses, “Is the LORD’s arm too short?” (Numbers11:23). In spite of the Lord delivering the Israelites out of Egypt, they did not believe Him. Even today we are like that. We must believe that the Lord is able to perform miracles and wonders in our life. Thank Him for all the miracles you have received so far. “What is impossible with man is possible with God” (Luke 18:27).
A family who lived a luxurious life with the best of comforts, failed to count all the blessings they received from the Lord and also did not believe in His wondrous works. They took great pleasure in finding fault with the preachers and the servants of the Lord. There was no one in this family who prayed and there were none to pray for this family too. So, ignorance and arrogance abounded this family. At that time, the Lord who had stretched out His Hands and took care of them, departed from them. And that was all; the devil that had been waiting for this opportunity, brought quarrels and confusions among them. He shot the arrows of darkness and brought division, bitterness and enmity among them. Thus, all the members in the family headed to a miserable condition of disintegration. They went around finding fault with each other and no one came forward to help them. This family lost all its peace and happiness.

Dearly beloved! The Lord says, “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”(Jeremiah 32:27). If you are found in this same situation, not believing in the wonders of the Lord and being arrogant and ignoring God, it is time for you to humble yourself and put a stop to the habit of finding fault. You should start thanking God for all His wonders through which your life will prosper and all your scarcity will vanish.
Heavenly Father! Take away from me the evil heart that does not remember to count Your wonders and blessings but keeps finding fault with others. Grant me the grace to praise You with a grateful heart. In the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus I pray, O Father, Amen.
