Seeking God’s Intervention

Dear Friends in Christ,
When you allow God to work in all the areas of your life, then you will experience the divine joy and peace. You may have been taking decisions on your own with regards to family matters, your finances, your career etc and still don’t feel content with the end result. It’s because you didn’t seek God’s intervention and thus lacked the blessings. God expects you to open the door for Him to work in your lives. As this is the time, to break loose the unplowed ground and let God take charge of everything, “Sow righteousness for yourselves,  reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground;  for it is time to seek the Lord, until He comes and showers his righteousness on you” (Hosea 10:12).

In the gospel of Matthew 16:25, Jesus says, “…whoever loses their life for me will find it”. So, when you stop leaning on your own understanding to work things out for yourself. When you stop controlling your life; then you’ll find the life of Jesus coming to you. Jesus will teach you to live a godly life. Then you’ll break the unplowed ground as you seek the Lord.
In this context, I’m reminded of the parable of the sower mentioned in the gospel of Matthew chapter 13. When you read Matthew 13: 23, it says, “But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Similarly, God wants you to sow in good soil. And what’s the good soil? It’s a heart fully committed to the Lord. It’s a heart that fully listens to God and yields to God. And then, the Lord will sow His word in your heart and you will bear fruits a hundredfold.

So, the soil refers to the heart and the seed is the Word of God. Thus, to make the seed grow, God will shower rain and warmth through His Holy Spirit. When you make your heart receptive to God’s Word, you will bear fruit a hundredfold; you’ll enjoy the reward. But when you face a lack of blessing in your jobs or studies, then it’s all because you didn’t invite God in your heart. In the book of Haggai 1:9,10 you’ll read, “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house.  Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops”.

Today, is the time that you invite God in your life and let Him make the decisions for you. Then you will never lack anything in your life. God’s abundant blessings will flow in your life and you will reap fruits a hundredfold.
Heavenly Father,
I ask pardon for leaning on my own understanding to sort out the matters in my life. But, today I seek your intervention in all the aspects of my life. May my heart be receptive to your Word.
In Jesus most precious name I pray.
