Seek early

Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
27 Dec
We read in the scriptures, “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me” (Proverbs 8:17). It does not mean that God loves you only after you start to love Him.  Because 1 John 4:19 says, “We love because He first loved us.”  Yes, our God would fill the hearts of those who love Him and seek for His presence. Moreover, anyone who seeks Him early in the morning will be given the grace to discover His hidden secrets. Reading and hearing the mysteries of God is not enough.  Only experiencing the Word of God would take you to a deeper level of ‘finding Him.’  Yes, early-risers would know the heart of God very clearly.  God too loves to share His secrets with such people.  We read in the Bible that David sought God early even in his young days and loved Him more than anything.  So, God chose David, an ordinary shepherd who went following the ewes and made him to shepherd Israel, His people and found him to be a man after His own heart (Acts 13:22).

A man of God served as a professor in a Bible College. He used to get up early in the morning at 4 O’ clock.  This was his regular habit.  As soon as he gets up, he would stretch out his hands towards Heaven and commune with God. Do you know what happened to his life? Yes! His face began to radiate God’s presence like that of Moses. Everyone could see the presence of God in his day-to-day life. And, God blessed him in whatever he put his hands to. Further, the students in the college, silently and carefully listened to every word of this professor and they were also blessed. He remained a beacon to the whole college.
Beloved, do you want to be a successful person? Be an early-riser to seek God at the dawn of a day.  Make a decision today to practise this.  And every morning cry out to Him, “O Lord! I come to You seeking Your face. Bless me all through my life.” Soon, you will find Him waking you up every morning. He will wake you up morning after morning and help you hear Him as the learned (Isaiah 50:4).  Yes! Love the communion with the Almighty God which will infuse greater blessing from His throne into your life!
Prayer:
Loving Lord,

You are our living and loving God. Father, give me a heart that is faithful and careful to seek You early in the morning.  Fill my heart with eagerness to meet with You early in the morning to hear from You.  Fill me with passion to serve You by some means.  Make my presence a blessing for others in my family and my work place.  Help me to grow in my intimacy with You.  In Jesus’ precious name I pray.

Amen.
