Jesus The Light Of The World

Dear children of God,
Ages ago, God promised that He would descend on earth and deliver men from the clutches of darkness. To fulfill this promise, He came to this earth, in the name of “Jesus” which means “ Savior” ‘ Deliverer from darkness’. But what was He like? The bible tells us, “In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome”( John 1:4,5).
Those who watched the life of Jesus, remarked, “ The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined” ( Isaiah 9:2 ; Matthew 4:16). Yes! There was a glow where ever Jesus went and He said of Himself, “ I am the light of the world” ( John 8:12). To manifest that God is light, He came to this earth in human form. And when you have this light with you, even though you walk in darkness, you will remain unharmed, as is promised, “You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light”(Psalm 18:28).
Our God dwells in unreached light whom, neither a man has seen nor can see ( 1 Timothy 6:16). In the scriptures we read, that, when God descended upon Mount Sinai, to manifest Himself to Moses, the entire mountain was set aflame (Exodus19:18) and people who witnessed it, trembled with fear. There was such a bright light but the bible says by its side there were clouds and thick darkness (Deuteronomy 4:11). Our God is a wonderful God and His ways are strange and mysterious!
Usually when, you encounter a tough situation, you try to help yourself out of it. Thus, equating God’s power and performance with your limited wisdom and actions. However, God is a supreme being and He remembers that we are dust. His power and wisdom are limitless.
When you are surrounded by pain and sorrows, you find it hard to place your trust in God. This happens because you limit His powers with yours and come to a conclusion on your own. You don’t allow God to deliver you from your situation. But our God is a loving God and He doesn’t leave you, He intervenes in the most unexpected ways and in miraculous manner. As is stated in bible, “ Even in darkness light dawns for the upright” ( Psalm 112:4). All the biblical men of faith, claimed that God is light and He would enlighten the darkness.
The Lord who led Abraham, Isaac and Jacob through darkness, will lead you also in your times of darkness. So, you should not be discouraged.
Heavenly Father, lead me in my darkest hour. Let your light shine on me, so that I can stay unharmed amidst my disturbing situation. Deliver me from all seen and unseen harms and dangers.
In Jesus’ most powerful name I pray.
