His Tears for your forgiveness

Looking at the pride and disobedience that ruins the lives of several people, the Almighty God sheds tears of blood. The Bible says, “But if you do not listen, I will weep in secret because of your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly, overflowing with tears, because the Lord’s flock will be taken captive” (Jeremiah 13:17). Jesus Christ wept for the city of Jerusalem saying, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace – but now it is hidden from your eyes” (Luke 19:41-42).

There lived a man who was addicted to the bad habit of drinking liquor for nearly 15 years. His day normally dawned with a drink at 3 am. Besides spending his earnings in wrong ways and leading a shameful life, he also never cared for the needs of his family. He even sold the jewels of his wife and squandered the money. At times, he may not turn up home for days together leaving his wife in a state of quandary. If his wife were to question about his whereabouts or well-being he would beat, and taunt her. On account of her husband’s bad behavior, she traversed through the valley of tears for seven years quite often contemplating suicide. However, when suicidal tendencies raised its ugly head she would beat it hard considering the shame it would bring upon her family as well as to the followers of Christ. Their children who kept watching this terrible scenario at home trembled at the sight of their father. In the midst of all her agony, she began to fast and pray pleading, “Lord Jesus! Please deliver my husband from this evil habit and save my family.”
It was in such a situation as this, she heard about the Blessing Meeting to be held at the Bethesda Prayer Centre. It was her desire that God should call her husband by name through me. At first, her husband refused saying, “I don’t believe in such gimmicks.” Then he told, “I will attend the meeting but only in a drunken stupor. Let me see if he would call my name.” On that day when the meeting was being held, he sat in a corner in a drunken stupor and hearing no name of his being called pondered, “I guess all this is not true.”

Precisely at that moment, a prayer intercessor applied oil on his forehead and prayed for him. At that very moment, he heard me say, “Ramesh Kumar! The Lord is transforming your sinful life. He will restore all that you have lost in double measure”. He felt as if fire fell on his head and he could experience a divine change taking place in his heart. From that day onward he was totally delivered from the habit of drinking as well as from his sinful life. Later on, the Lord blessed him and restored all that he had lost in double measure. Now, he gets up at 3 am and reads the Bible. The Lord has graciously enabled him to get back the job which he had lost. He blessed him in an abundant measure.

“In Him (Jesus Christ) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” (Ephesians 1:7). “... In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14). On this day, Jesus Christ is shedding tears to forgive our sins and to deliver us from the bondage of sin. Dear Friend, evil and sinful thoughts enter into our mind and our eyes are blinded. It prevents us from being delivered from our sinful habits. However, our God is so merciful that His tears cleanses and sanctifies us and our household. Therefore, be of good cheer and place your trust on the redemption of our loving Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
When You sojourned on this earth, You were moved with compassion for people who suffered. You wept before resurrecting Lazarus. Your sweat came out as drops of blood before crucifixion. You bore our sorrows and grief on the cross at Calvary to purchase our pardon. In Your immense grace and mercy forgive all my sins, cleanse me with Your precious blood and sanctify me that I may taste Your goodness always. Deliver me from bondages known and unknown. Prosper all my efforts and keep me under Your protecting wings.
In Your precious name I pray.
Amen.
