God who gives rest!!
Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran
My beloved, Our God knows your suffering that you are going through. When Lord Jesus Christ came into this world, he had a purpose. He came to this world to comfort all those who mourn (Isaiah 61:2). The Bible says, “We all have one God and one Father” (Hebrew 4:6, Malachi 2:10). “God does not show favoritism.”(Romans 2:11, Acts 10:34). God loves everyone. That's why He says, “Come to me”. He came to earth to comfort those who are in sorrow. A pastor told me a funny story, but it was a real incident. Once a thief went to steal in a big house. He was very happy that there was no one in that home. He took all the gold jewelry. He took valuable things. He tied it up into a big bundle and tried to leave the house. Suddenly, he had a severe stomach ache. He did not know what to do; he kept his bag down. He was rolling on the floor out of pain. He cried out loud. He suffered a lot. At that time he saw the picture of Jesus Christ hanging on the wall. He said, “Jesus, everyone says that you are a good person. Why can’t you bear my pain?” Immediately his stomach ache was gone. He was surprised. He was shocked. He left that bag right there and ran away. He came to know more about Jesus. Someone gifted him a Bible. He started reading the Scripture. He began to love Jesus. He confessed his sins. He cast all his burdens on the Lord Jesus. He became a new creation.
The Bible says, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4). God says, “I will give you rest and peace.” Do you know why God said this? He was born as a human being, but He is our Lord. The Lord says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). He knows the suffering and the burden in our heart. Do not worry! Today, cast your burden, troubles, and tears at the feet of the Lord. The Lord will comfort you and give you rest. Trust in the Lord, He will bless you.
Loving Father in Heaven, I come before your mighty presence. Have mercy on me. I bring all my burdens before you. Cleanse my heart from all sins and the sinful activities in my life. Lord, I surrender myself to you. Come into my heart. Take away all the burdens of this world and fill me with your peace and give me rest. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen.
