God Is Mindful Of The Poor And The Needy

Dear Children of God,

You must have observed, the kind of treatment the “poor”and the “needy” get on a daily basis. They are often, treated with contempt. They are forced, to lead a life of isolation, forsaken by all. However, to end this worldly norm, Lord Jesus came into this world in a very humble form, He had nowhere to lay His head ( Matthew 8:20). He became poor, so that you may become “ rich” through His poverty (2 Corinthians 8:9). Yes! Jesus came to “raise the poor from the dust and to lift the needy from the ash heap” ( Psalm 113:7 ; 1 Samuel 2:8). Therefore, you who are poor and needy, don’t look down on yourself, you are special in God’ sight as is promised in bible, “But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish” (Psalm 9:18).

In a family, all the brothers were educated and were employed in high positions and also were quite settled, except for the last one. Unlike the others, the youngest brother lacked everything and so the world looked down on him. But, he believed in Lord Jesus and was filled with His love. He always rejoiced in God. So, God lifted him step by step as is promised in the scriptures, “ Whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe” (Proverbs 29:25). God placed him at a higher position as compared to all his brothers. Also, God helped him to lead a reverent and devout life.
Dearly beloved! From now on, you should not worry at all by saying, “ I am poor and I have insufficiency”. Rather, you should have a firm trust in the Lord. God has provided a throne of grace for you to come to, for help in time of need. He will supply all your wants out of the fullness of grace in Christ ( Philippians 4:19). Our God is not unmindful of you but He knows each one of you, just as is mentioned in the scriptures, “I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me” ( Isaiah 49: 15,16).

God has a time to favor the poor and needy and He will arise and have mercy on you, and bring you into a glorious and comfortable state and condition. The bible says, the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever; and the expectation of poor ones is not only a supply of grace but eternal happiness hereafter. So, don’t get discouraged, looking at your pathetic condition, but trust in the Lord, who is mindful of you. He cares for you, will fulfill all your needs and bless you abundantly, “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think…” ( Ephesians 3:20).
Loving God, you are mindful of the poor and the needy in this world. I place my trust in you for divine providence. I praise you that you remember me and lead me to do your will.

In the matchless name of Jesus I pray.
