Everlasting Love!!

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3)
Dearly beloved,
One day, a newly married young girl received a short letter from her husband. The girl was very eager to look into the letter and so she quickly unfolded the envelope. Her face turned pale as she was going through the letter. Within few minutes she consumed poison and ended her life. What was written in that letter? The letter read "I am sorry I married you. I am sorry I came all the way to marry you. I did this just to please my parents. I must tell you the truth; I am already married in America and I have children and I can't accept you as my wife anymore." That broke her heart and she ended her life. That is the love of a man. My dear children of God, remember, man's love is temporary but God's love is an everlasting love.
Lord Jesus Christ loved his disciples. He loved His disciples to the end (John 13:1). We need to understand more about the Love of Christ Jesus through His demonstration with His disciples. He was talking to his disciples as "My Children" (John 13:33) and when he rose up from the dead and when He met them for the first time, He calls them again, "My children" (John 21:5). This is the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are His children all the time.
The Bible says in John 1: 12 and Galatians 3:26 that anyone who accepts Jesus will become children of God. He calls them as "my children" which is a great privilege for everyone. If you read mark 10:13-16, the Bible says, when the little children were brought to Him, He took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. He loved little children so much that He embraced them. Yes, every child yearns for the love of his or her father. After my daughter Angel went to be with the Lord, my wife looked into her diary and in that she found the words of my daughter, “Of all the things that I love in this world, I treasure my father's kisses.” Every time we read that, we cry.

We all long for a motherly love and that is what Jesus wants to give us this day. You may even be seventy years old or more but this is how our Lord Jesus would call you - "My little son / daughter." Are you lonely without a spouse? The Lord is moved with compassion and says, “My son/daughter, I don’t want you to be alone in this world. I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness (Jeremiah 31:3). I will grant you a good future.” Yes! God’s everlasting love has always been there and will always be there for us.
Heavenly Father,

I thank You for loving me with an everlasting love that will never run out or dry up. May Your loving-kindness flow into my spirit, soul and body. Help me to experience Your love in a deeper way. Let nothing separate me from Your love. I pray that my heart may be rooted and established in Your love. In Jesus’ name, I pray, AMEN.
