Confess Your Sins

Dear friend, God’s word for the day is from Psalm 103:13, “As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.” Yesterday was father’s day and I am sure you would have celebrated your father. May be you have lost your father but today God promises you that as a father has compassion on his children, He will have compassion on you.
Today, you or your loved one might be living a sinful life. You might be stuck in sin. You might be so ashamed even to pray about it. You might think the Lord doesn’t love you anymore so you cannot kneel down and confess your sin to Him. But the Lord says that He loves you so much.  Yes, He has so much compassion on us, His children.
If you read the verse from 1 John 1:9, it says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Yes, sometimes it is hard to come out of a sin. It might keep you trapped. But if you confess your sins to the Lord, He will help you to come out of it. It might not happen immediately, it might happen little by little, but one day you will realize that you are out of it completely. That is why God has compassion on us life a father. So what does it mean to fear the Lord? It means to love, respect and honor Him. When you understand His love and seek God for help, He will enable you to come out of the sinful life because of His compassion. So confess your sins today and receive God’s blessings.
Loving Father,
Help me come out of my sinful life. I know it is against Your will but I am stuck in it. Please forgive my sins and have compassion on me. Give me special grace to overcome and live a life that is pleasing in Your sight.
I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
