“A faithful man will be richly blessed.”     (Proverbs 28:20)
Dear friends, the Bible says in Proverbs 28:20, “A faithful person will be richly blessed…” Our Lord constantly instills in us the qualities of faithfulness. We read in the Bible that Abraham was a faithful man. We find in Nehemiah 9 verses 7, 8 about how God found Abraham to be righteous and made a covenant to bless him and his descendants. Today we can also be blessed as Abraham by becoming a faithful person. All the promises that God made unto Abraham can be inherited by us through faith. God seeks after a faithful heart and he delights greatly in that faithful person. He finds such person and he dwells in their heart. The Bible says in 1 Samuel 16:7 and also in Proverbs 21:2 that God looks at the heart. So this day I encourage you to develop a faithful heart that God may dwell in our hearts and place His blessings upon us.
There lived a prince of a certain kingdom. He once went to visit the prisoners. On visiting them he asked each of them about what crime they had committed. Every prisoner complained that they were blameless but still they are imprisoned by false acquisitions. Uncommonly, there was one man who accepted his fault when the prince came near. The prince enquired him of his crime to which the man replied that he had committed a murder. He further cried unto the prince, regretting for what he had done, which had led the family of the man who died, to face great sorrow. The prince, impressed by his contriteness, told the man that since he had realized his fault he is now free to go. However, that man pleaded the prince to take care of that family instead of letting him free. The prince was surprised and shocked at this man's concern. He immediately told this prisoner that he is not only free to go but will also be granted support to take care of that family by himself.

Dear Friends, if you read 1 John 1:9 and Acts 10:35, you will realize that confessing your sins to God, just as this prisoner did, will liberate you and help you to lead a righteous life. All what you have to do is, open your hearts to our Father in Heaven and confess to Him the sins that you have committed against your brother / sister / parents / children / your neighbor or to anyone else. Our Lord is a merciful God. He will forgive us and make us worthy to be faithful in all that we do. Be assured of the blessings that God has promised Abraham. As we confess our sins and seek God today, God will bless us abundantly and make us a faithful person.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day. Lord, today we have learnt how to inherit your blessings. Forgive our sins and help us to be a faithful person. Help us to have a contrite heart which pleases you. Thank you for your grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
