Jesus The True Shepherd

If we read history, we learn that shepherds in the ancient times were peaceful people and avoided all strife. They would play their musical instrument to calm the nervous flock. The good shepherd cannot look after the sheep while standing afar. He has to be close at hand. Likewise, our Lord promises to stay close to us. The Lord will carry you in His bosom and lead you gently. As the very famous Psalm 23 reads, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want”.

My sister would bring her baby daughter to our meetings. She would also bring a small pillow so that her baby could rest on it. She would also sing a lullaby for her to make her comfortable.
SCRIPTURE to LIFE

Our loving God does the same for us. He wants you to be comfortable wherever you are; because He promises to be with you always. Just like a shepherd who watches his flock and risks his own life to protect his sheep. God assures you of His protection. He will not only protect you but will also bless you with all good things. You will be like a well-watered garden. The only thing that you have to do is to be sensitive towards His voice.
Prayer:
Jesus, my Lord, I thank you for watching over me, my family and my loved ones. And keeping us unharmed from all seen and unseen dangers. Help me to walk in your statutes and be sensitive to your voice.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
