He Broke And Defeated The Power Of Sin

We live in a fallen world, where we are bound to come across trials, temptations, sufferings and pain. But there is good news for us; Jesus promises to be with us and assures that it will not harm us for He has overcome the world. The Bible tells us categorically that satan is the prince of the world (John 12:31) and his goal is to cause harm to God’s children. You and I are saved by the precious blood of Christ, which He shed on the cross, 2000 years ago. So, be bold and courageous in facing any hardships. As God is with you and will deliver you!

There was a railway bridge which was built across the river and fleet of ships would pass through that river. Whenever the ship had to sail across that river, the engineer would press the lever for the bridges to part and the ships to cross over. Once he saw a train slowly approaching, while he was pulling back the bridge after a ship quietly passed beneath. He had to pull back quickly or else there would be a fatal accident and thousands would have died. At that time his 9 year old son came with lunch. When he saw his father struggling with the wheels, he started helping him to roll the wheels to put the bridge back. Suddenly his son's finger got caught inside the wheel and he started crying out. At this time if the father tries to save his son, the bridge could not be put back on time. With all his strength he kept on rolling the wheels to down the bridge. As the wheels rolled on, his son slowly started slipping away into the huge machine.

If he tried to save him, the train will surely fall into the sea and thousands of people will die. Slowly the boy's whole body fell into the machine and his father could hear his bones breaking one by one, until with a loud sound, his head cracked. The train with thousands of passengers slowly rolled on the rails, without knowing what had happened there.

In that same way, the Almighty God send His only son, Jesus to this world. Jesus sacrificed His life on the cross for us and on the third day, He rose up from the dead. He went through tribulations to deliver you from your tribulations and pains. Let us not forget the great sacrifice that our Lord made. He promises to be with you always,to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:20). So, draw close to Him and be obedient to His commands.
Jesus, my redeemer, I thank you for the sacrifice You made for me. You took all my shame and curse and granted me life eternal. Grant me Your grace to lead a life in obedience to Your holy commandments.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
