God’s footprints

Dearly beloved,

A lady once sang a very meaningful song. Its lyrics described the Lord taking her along the beach. Turning back, she saw two pairs of footprints on the sand - her own and the Lord’s. After sometime, she was taken along a path strewn with stones and thorns. There she could only see one set of footprints. She asked Him, “Lord! You came with me while I was walking on the sandy tracks. But, how is it that You have left me alone here amidst the rocks and thorny bushes?” The Lord replied, “My dear! These are not your footprints; but Mine. When you had to walk amidst stones and thorns, I carried you in My arms. That is why your footprints are not there. What you see is Mine!”
How loving is our God! The Bible says "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). Every individual in this world face difficulties, hardship, tribulation and many a times we start doubting God’s care for us - Whether He would come to rescue us or not? But what happens? God hastily comes to rescue His children. Haven’t you noticed that? Let not your heart be troubled, for in times of trouble he carries you in His arms. His grace will sustain you through any difficult situation and you will not walk alone. When God carries us, He will lead us through the right path and we will reach our destination well ahead of time. God will strengthen us to overcome any adverse situation that we go through.

My dearly beloved, how many times we would have said "my feet slipped!" If you read in the Bible, King David says "Lord, when I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy” (Psalm 94:18,19). Difficulties and hard times may stumble you but do not be discouraged for Deuteronomy 1:31 says "And you saw how the LORD your God cared for you all along the way as you travelled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place." Truly God will not leave you nor forsake you. So, do not worry when you face difficulties, He will surely deliver you.
Prayer:
“Loving Father, You created me. You gave me desires, willpower and goals in my life. Now I am afraid that I may not achieve them for Your glory. Yet, I believe that You are my Father who will neither leave me nor forsake me. Help me to overcome every problem with your divine strength. Carry me through. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
