Faith Paves The Way For Miracles

Dear Precious ones,

Our God is a loving God, who blesses you with all the good things in life, more than you can even imagine. But, there are times, that when the answers to your prayers are delayed, you are quick to give up on God. Then, either you will try to work things out on your own or you will stop praying. On the contrary, the bible says, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”( John11:40). So, the key to the miracles is; your faith.

In the scriptures, we read about a family, whom Jesus loved a lot. It was Mary, Martha and Lazarus. A tragedy happened in the family, Lazarus passed away. Both the sisters were in deep pain, at the loss of their brother. At this time, Jesus was not in the same town, where this family lived. But on hearing of the demise of Lazarus, Jesus along with His disciples came to console the family. Martha on seeing Jesus, said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask” ( John 11:21, 22).
Though Martha knew the power of Jesus, the many miracles He had been doing, yet when it was a test of her faith, she wavered. One of her statement was in agony, “ Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died”, implying, “ Where, were you when your presence was needed here”. I guess, this is the same question, you too may be asking Jesus. The flip side of Martha, was strong in her faith in Christ, “ But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask”. Jesus was moved and He asked them, where they laid Lazarus. They all, went to the place and Jesus asked them to roll the stone from the tomb. On hearing this, Martha was appalled and screamed, “ by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days” ( John 11:39). Here, again Martha’s faith was wavered. Jesus, still loved them and very gently reminds her, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” ( John 11:40).

Yes! Martha’s faith wavered, yet Jesus told her that if they had faith as tiny as that of the mustard seed, it was more than enough to move the mountains. Martha believed and confessed that, Jesus is the expected Messiah ( John 11:27). She walked with Jesus to the tomb and witnessed the miracle. You too, can see the miracles in your life; you only have to believe. If you think, you gave up on your prayer life and Jesus will not answer your prayers anymore; don’t be discouraged, Jesus will definitely hear and answer your prayers. Have a strong faith in the Lord and He will make the impossible possible for you, “ With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” ( Matthew 19:26).
Prayer:
Mighty God, I believe nothing is impossible for you and that you always answers the prayers of your children. Today, I come before you, placing my complete trust in you.May I never waver in my faith, no matter how disturbing my situation.

In Jesus’ most powerful name I pray.
Amen
