Faith attracts blessings

There were two farmers who desperately needed rain. Both of them prayed for rain, but only one of them went out and prepared his fields to receive it. Who do you think trusted God that He would send the rain? Yes, the one who prepared his fields, had faith in God.

The Bible has recorded an incident about Isaac, the son of Abraham. In those days, people who lived near the surroundings of Isaac, stopped sowing seeds saying, “There are neither winds nor rains”. However, Isaac cast his entire burden on God, trusting Him without any reservations and sowed seeds with faith focusing his eyes on the heavenly Father, the Maker of heaven and earth from who the help comes, unmindful of the famine faced, drought, rain or winds. The Almighty God looked not at the seeds but saw his faith and said, “My child has sown seeds believing My words and therefore let Me bless My child.” He blessed Isaac and made him prosper a hundredfold.
Likewise, if you are waiting for a blessing from the Lord it will happen when you go out and work for it. Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead (James 2:17).  And if you believe in this promise “There shall be showers of blessings” (Ezekiel 34:26), in faith receive your long awaited miracles today as you read this passage.  If you want to score high marks in your studies, study well. If you want to see a profit in your business, put your full might into it. Then the Lord will see your faith and bless you like Isaac – a hundredfold.  A small cloud of action filled with your faith attracts a great shower of blessing!
Prayer:
“Dear Lord, I understand that faith without action is dead. So, I plead with You to give me the wisdom and unshakeable faith as that of Isaac in all that I do today to be a blessing. Let me be prepared for Your showers of blessing which You will pour out on me. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
