Christ The Atonement For Our Sins

Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran

At times, we are so busy in our own little world that we forget the suffering of our Lord Jesus. When things don’t go our way, and we are physically afflicted, we start questioning God. Have we ever realized the intensity of the pain that Jesus had to go through, because of us? All because He’s mindful of His children and doesn’t want us to perish.

Following is a real-life incident when Hitler sent his army to capture Poland. They took hundreds of people as prisoners. However, one morning, they found that 10 of them escaped custody. The German soldiers went out searching from them but found none. The captain was furious and told the prisoners that he would execute any 10 of them. Those remaining prisoners were to be punished because the law was not followed. As he began this cruelty, one of them spoke and pleaded not to kill him because he had a wife and children. If he died, there would be nobody to care for them. Just then another prisoner, who was a Catholic priest from Czechoslovakia, stood up and requested the captain to kill him instead of that brother. They killed the priest without hesitation.
SCRIPTURE to LIFE

Our Lord Jesus Christ bore our punishment on the cross, thus setting us free from eternal condemnation. Today, when you cry out to Him, He will have compassion on you and will forgive you, because you are His children. He will take away all your burden and grant you peace. He will deliver you from all your afflictions and provide you for all your needs.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father, I humbly come before you with a repentant heart. I thank You for Your great love towards me that You sacrificed Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ as an atonement for my sin. Grant me Your grace to never forget this great sacrifice and to live a life acceptable in Your sight.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
